The journey of Toothly Dental began with an unforeseen accident—one that reshaped the future.

Just 40-45 days after graduating, Dr. Meet Makwana met with a road accident, fracturing his scaphoid bone in his dominant hand. In that moment, a thought struck him:

“What happens if a dentist loses the ability to use their hands? Years of hard work and study can be lost in seconds.”

What could have been a setback became a turning point, leading to something much bigger than personal recovery—a mission to revolutionize oral healthcare.

Dr. Meet’s Journey: The Experience Behind Toothly

Dr. Meet Makwana’s journey to founding Toothly Dental was shaped by hands-on experience in both clinical practice and dental business management.

During his 10-month recovery from a hand injury, he immersed himself in dental clinic management, gaining valuable insights into operations and patient care. As the Dental Digital Marketing Head for a leading clinic in Surat, he led an 8-member team, mastering patient engagement and trust-building strategies.

To deepen his understanding of the business side of dentistry, he worked as an Associate Dentist in Sales at a Mumbai-based corporate firm, learning how treatment decisions are influenced by patient psychology. Additionally, his 10 months of clinical practice at two different clinics provided firsthand exposure to market dynamics and patient concerns.

Through these experiences, he recognized a common issue—dental problems often stem from a lack of awareness, fear, and misinformation. This inspired him to create Toothly Dental, a practice built on education, trust, and compassionate care, ensuring that every patient feels informed and confident about their dental health.
